Non-destructive testing
Research. The Iwamet company carries out penetration tests on components manufactured in the company for sectors such as military, aviation, medical, automotive, in addition to NADCAP approval, we also offer individual approvals of the NDT process for customers who require it, such as Sikorsky or AIRBUS.
PT tests are performed using fluorescent penetrants with a sensitivity of 2 and 3. The penetrant testing line enables testing for workpieces up to 0.9 m in diameter.
Workpieces subjected to penetration testing are previously prepared on the chemical treatment line, which includes: degreasing, etching, bleaching.
The workpieces that pass the penetrant test are washed in an ultrasonic washer in order to rinse out chemical residues that may have been left thereon after the testing process.
CMM measurements
We weld aluminium alloys. We use the WPQR qualification record according to PN-EN ISO 15614-4 for TIG (141) finishing welding technology for ALSi7Mg aluminum alloy castings and our welders are qualified according to EN ISO 9606-2.
